Final against Nottingham Forest. During the game he sustained a
serious knee injury which seemed to threaten his agreed transfer
deal to a top Italian club, Lazio, for a record £5 million fee.
After a long recovery he moved to Lazio in time for the 1992, 1993

off the field. He received a further serious leg injury in 1994,
and moved to Rangers from Lazio in 1995. He may be better remembered
for crying during a world cup match.
