The Who appeared at the Fillmore/
Lacarno, Sunderland on the 28th July 1969. The Who were
first launched on the back of the Mod movement in 1964.The
group successfully developed an anti-social reputation for
smashing up their gear on stage a point witnessed by many
people who saw them at their concert at Sunderland that
evening. A popular and successful group with a numerous
amount of hits including My Generation. Pictures of Lily &
Pinball Wizard.

The Moody Blues
The Moody Blues. First formed in 1964, their first hit was called
Go Now but it was their change of musical style to blend rock with
classical music that led to a fine mixture. An example of
their music is Nights In White Satin, the band comprised of
Justin Haywood, John Lodge, Ray Thomas, and Graham Edge. The
Group played in Sunderland's Wetherells night spot in 1967
before they hit stardom. Other hits included, Forever
Autumn, Question, and Driftwood

The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones. Even Today the wrinkled old Rockers from the
60's still give satisfaction to thousands of fans all over the
world. Their is not much any one can say about Mick
Jaguar's successful career. Mick's Song writing and
performing says it all for him. They performed in
Sunderland's Odeon theatre February 20th 1964 delighting
their fans. Their biggest hits included, The Last Time,
Little Red Rooster, & Satisfaction
