I'd say that would be the opposite. Surely older players would break down and get injured more often?

^ This. The kids usually make it until the new year and then fade. Not all will. Maybe we have a squad that doesn't and that is something we will have to hope for. Youth and experience is the key. The fact that we have a young squad that is hungry for success might be a key changer. Tony Mowbray and his staff will know that a young squad might not be able to keep up and they will try to keep on top of this. Rotation and transfers should help to keep up the progress of the club.

Very true but it could work the other way. How do we not know they have things in place to counter fatigue etc? I suspect the management knows all this and has some contingency plans.

So, the lads will huff and puff and then run out of steam? It will be interesting to see the average age of other teams in the Championship. I bet there's not much difference. But even so, nothing is to say that our squad will become more fatigued than others.
