Sunderland 1-2 Sheffield United

Post by Nockya »

Edouard Michut scored his first goal for Sunderland last night with a well-taken goal.
Sheffield United was good for their money and looked like a strong side.
Sunderland went ahead against the run of play but a mistake by Roberts caught the lads off guard and allowed United to equalise just before halftime.
In the second half, the lads played a lot better despite losing.
Really, it's not the end of the world as Sheffield is looking to claim an automatic promotion slot.

Wasn't one of their goals off-side?
VAR would have helped so I think its about time this was introduced in the Championship.

It was always going to be a big test. Does anyone think that another manager could have controlled the game better after we went ahead? I'm not moaning and I do think that some decisions went against us but it was a big test that we didn't pass on the night. We did alright ish and will dominate games against the lower-down teams. Promotion is still so near but yet so far. Maybe a good push next season and get into a play-off final then?

Really good game and value for money.
I was there but that statement is only for the neutral really.
Sunderland is still on a learning curve and all of us are hoping for better things.
I have no doubts - we will not go down.
Here's hoping we can push for the top six again because it can be done.
Its a shame that we have the injury problems that we have.

Let's see how they bounce back tomorrow. I think we still have a makeshift team but here's hoping for three points.
