After going a goal down, Sunderland fought back to win Luton Town in the first leg of the Championship play-offs 2-1.
Amad Diallo equalised in the first half and then Trai Hume headed the ball home in 63 minutes to make it 2-1.
The lads held out and took a slender lead to Luton next Tuesday.
Sunderland is only 90 minutes away from a second successive play-off final at Wembley.
