Elon Musk has announced a temporary cap on the number of tweets users can read each day, with verified subscribers getting to see a lot more than those without a blue tick. Thousands reported problems with the site as the changes came in - leading t'o RIP Twitter' trending.
The billionaire completed a $44bn (£35bn) takeover of the social media site in October 2022, and in April introduced a payment system for "blue ticks", or verified accounts. Subscribers are able to post longer tweets and are also able to make changes to published tweets, see about half as many adverts, and use non-fungible token (NFT) profile pictures.
He's clearly paid too much for twitter so he's effectively trying to cajole people into paying for it.

Re: Musk restricts how many posts users can read on twitter
I never use Twitter; when I get links, I can only see them about 50% of the time.
I don't care one jot about Twitter, I never had an account there and never will do.
If I remember rightly they de-platform people who dare to speak their own mind but if you speak their loony left ways it's fine.
In other words a brainwashing platform, their way or highway.
I can't be arsed with all that.

Facebook is alright, just close your profile and only allow family and real friends in.

Twitter and Facebook are two separate things and each has their own unique style.
If I rated them, I would give Facebook 8/10 and Twitter 6/10.
I only use both occasionally but I know people who are online all day with them.
