Southampton vs Sunderland - March 2024
Southampton vs Sunderland.
Sunderland faces Southampton at St Mary's Stadium with the prospect of losing six in a row (oh! remember how we loved saying that versus the scum).
Sunderland is 11th in the table, while Southampton are flying high in the 4th spot.
I can't see us getting anything from this game, but football can come up with surprises, right?
The team news is:
Sunderland AFS starting XI: Patterson, Hume, Seelt, Ballard, Hjelde, Neil, Rigg, Bellingham, Ba, Mundle, Burstow.
SAFC substitutes: Bishop, Pembele, Ekwah, Aouchiche, Hemir, Lavery, Jones, Styles, Rusyn.
Mason Burstow, Romaine Mundle and Abdoullah Ba start (those three changes from the last game).
Hemir Semedo and Pierre Ekwah were demoted to the bench.
Luke O'Nien was suspended due to all those yellow cards the lad picked up.

Wow, it's unlike you haha.
I hope the lads go for a draw and get it, even a bore draw would do.

At half-time, it is Southampton 2-0 Sunderland.
Goals by one Armstrong and then an ex-Maggie reject also called Armstrong scored a penalty and he took the piss out of the Black Cats fans in the process.
It's an uphill task now.
